The Partnership of Rural Colorado Boys & Girls Clubs Reason for Being:
The mission of the Partnership of Rural Colorado Boys & Girls Clubs is to impact the sustainability of rural Clubs in order to better serve rural youth within 9 different rural organizations and 14 separate sites, serving over 5000 youth ages 6-18.  The goals of the Rural Partnership are:

Rural Boys & Girls Clubs exist to provide excellent after-school and summer programs to help these youth succeed in school and become productive members of society.  Each rural Club represented in this partnership faces sustainability challenges.  The difficulty in obtaining funding in rural areas means that many of these Boys & Girls Clubs are constantly faced with the prospect of closing their doors and thus eliminating a vital service to the youth in their communities.  Contributing factors include: program opportunities and transportation challenges for staff and youth result from the large geographic areas served; and the lack of a corporate and business base in rural areas.
